After our summer break, Glasgow Korfball
Club's training started back last Wednesday. It was nice to have a few new faces along at training - and a lot of the old
ones too. Training will be on every Wednesday night throughout the season, Shawlands Academy from 8 - 9.30pm.
To kick off the new season with a bang, we had a bit of a social gathering on Friday
at Springfield Quay for a few beers and some bowling, with Oliver showing that his competitive nature doesn't just apply to
korfball!
More social events to follow during the season, watch this space for details...

Glasgow Korfball Club spent the day at the
Southside Festival, in the Queens Park Recreation Grounds in Glasgow, promoting the sport and encouraging people to come along
and try it out at a training session. Although a lot of people showed interest in the sport on the day, very few had heard
of it, and said that they would like to try it out as an alternative to basketball or netball.
We're hoping to see some of the people we spoke to on the day along at training sometime
soon!

Glasgow Korfball Club came 2nd in the 2009
Scottish Korball league. After a fantastic season, where we saw a great improvement in the teams results, the final took place
between Glasgow and St. Andrews University 1 in Edinburgh. St Andrews won the match, 13 goals to 8.
Glasgow have had a great season, winning 13 of their 16 games, and matching
St Andrews on wins, draws, losses and points.
